Ophthamology Medical Science Liaison

Responsibilities

• Engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals.
• Serve as a therapeutic expert.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with KOL’s.
• Develop a strong understanding of clinical practice.
• Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for appropriate assigned customers.
• Communicate clinical and scientific data to KOLs and healthcare professionals.
• Provide support for addressing unsolicited medical questions and other scientific exchange matters.
• Identify, gather, and document field generated scientific insights.
• Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning.
• Collaborate with field-based Medical colleagues and the broader organization.

Requirements

• Advanced degree required (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, OD or equivalent in life sciences).
• 3+ years of prior Medical Science Liaison experience (in eye care highly preferred).
• Prior experience with payer presentations is a plus.
• Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–80% within assigned territory.
