Ophthalmologist - Medical or Surgical Retina Specialist

About the role

Join SightMD, a physician-led ophthalmology practice dedicated to exceptional patient care, mentorship, and innovation. This position offers the opportunity to join an established practice in Reading, Pottsville, Shamokin, and Lewisburg, PA, following the retirement of a long-standing physician.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive retinal care to patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
• Participate in clinical research and strategic initiatives
• Enjoy clinical independence with full support from technicians and scribes

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in ophthalmology
• Experience in retina surgery preferred, but recent residency or fellowship graduates are also welcome
• Strong commitment to patient care and professional development

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Current medical license to practice in Pennsylvania
• Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX examinations

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong surgical skills and attention to detail

Pay

$300,000 - $450,000 base compensation with performance bonuses
