Ophthalmic Technician - Willing to Train!

About the role

Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician who can provide exceptional patient care and assist in preparing patients for exams with Ophthalmologists. This position offers opportunities for growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow
• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing
• Verify medical and vision insurances
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Favorable result on Background Check
• Basic computer skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Excitement to learn and grow

Qualifications

• Desire to gain industry knowledge and training
• Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change
• Consistently creates a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
• Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business
• Reliable transportation that would allow employee to go to multiple work locations with minimal notice

Skills

• Dilation
• Refraction
• Pressures
• Performing a variety of diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor and topography
• Working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms and ocular medications
• General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager

Competitive base pay based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full Time. Hours will vary within these business hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm. You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.
