Ophthalmic Technician/ Call Center Agent

About the Role

This position involves direct communication with patients through our call center. You will determine the urgency of patients' needs based on brief assessments and familiarity with their conditions and history. Responsibilities include submitting prescription refills as instructed by physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments
  • Provide patient care and education
  • Authorize prescription refills as instructed by physicians
  • Ensure patient satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate chart documentation
  • Assist with physician scheduling
  • Perform patient triage
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent (Required)
  • At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience (Required)
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification (Preferred)
