Responsibilities
- Aid providers in performing clinical functions including ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and status communication to the patient and provider.
- Ensure patients understand all instructions.
- Take and document patients' medical histories.
- Operate ophthalmic equipment.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Problem-solving math skills.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite or G-Suite.
- Effectively work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person.
- Maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred.
