About the role
The position requires travel between our other clinics as needed. Travel reimbursement is available.
Responsibilities
- Gather all past medical records for patients.
- Perform preliminary eye function and diagnostic testing under the direction of the physician.
- Administer eye medications as directed by the physician.
- Maintain optical and surgical instruments as needed.
- Absorb and assist in surgical procedures such as Lasik Eye Surgery under the guidance of the physician.
Requirements
- No prior experience is required as we offer a full in-house training program.
- Nationally recognized certifications can be achieved after about 1-year in this role.
- Full Time position, Monday-Friday, variation 8:00am-5:00pm.
Qualifications
- Strong candidates should have the ability to provide situational leadership, exceptional diplomatic communication skills, and experience in handling difficult customer situations.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask.
- A proven track record in advanced high-level customer service and follow-through is a plus.
- Positive and professional team-player attitude is essential.
Benefits
$3,000 retention bonus available for full-time Ophthalmic Technicians.
Pay
Varies based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, variation 8:00am-5:00pm.
