Ophthalmic Assistant I
About the role
Park Nicollet is seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join their team. This position is part of the "Partner for Good" initiative aimed at enhancing patient care and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic preparation for ophthalmic tests, evaluations, or treatments while ensuring quality patient services.
- Ensures patient safety during procedures.
- Works closely with ophthalmologists and optometrists to assist with patient care.
Requirements
- Certification through JCAHPO as an Ophthalmic Assistant within two years of hire date.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles.
- Show strong human relations and organizational skills.
- Ongoing certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.
Preferred Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited home study course in Ophthalmic Assisting.
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program.
- Equivalent related experience.
