Ophthalmic Assistant I

About the role

Park Nicollet is seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join their team. This position is part of the "Partner for Good" initiative aimed at enhancing patient care and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic preparation for ophthalmic tests, evaluations, or treatments while ensuring quality patient services.
• Ensures patient safety during procedures.
• Works closely with ophthalmologists and optometrists to assist with patient care.

Requirements

• Certification through JCAHPO as an Ophthalmic Assistant within two years of hire date.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles.
• Show strong human relations and organizational skills.
• Ongoing certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited home study course in Ophthalmic Assisting.
• Satisfactory completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program.
• Equivalent related experience.
