Responsibilities
- Load railcars safely and efficiently
- Ensure smooth railcar movements at our Lima operation
- Learn and follow extensive rail operating procedures and policies
- Operate a locomotive (Choo-Choo Champion)
- Perform switchman duties
- Record activities in our computer system
- Inspect railcars before loading
- Perform pre-shift maintenance walk-downs
- Follow safety protocols
Requirements
- High School Grad or GED Equivalent
- Safety-First Mindset
- Prepare for various training courses (OSHA, HazMat, FRA-related)
- Team Player
- No prior rail industry experience necessary
- Flexible Schedule
- Background Check & Drug Screen Required
Qualifications
- Embrace the Elements (indoor and outdoor work)
- Stay Active (climbing, operating railcar hand brakes, navigating rail switches)
- Be a Trailblazer (standing on uneven surfaces)
- Lift 50 lbs. (no gym membership required)
- Basic hand tool skills (useful)
