About the role

Works as part of a team to ensure uninterrupted plant operation, maximize operational efficiency, and support continuous training and improvement. The role involves inspecting and troubleshooting equipment, performing quality control, routine maintenance, and product shipping while promoting and following all plant safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot the rotary dryer, ball mill system, material handling systems, auxiliary equipment, and bulk storage/shipping equipment.
  • Perform quality control sampling and testing, routine plant equipment inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all field equipment operates properly; resolve and prevent issues to minimize downtime and optimize operations.
  • Conduct daily inspections, quality testing, and provide documentation and reporting as required.
  • Perform general cleanup services in the plant as needed.
  • Store, stock, and handle materials; operate mobile equipment and manage product shipping.
  • Accurately complete ASTM test procedures for finished cementitious products.
  • Troubleshoot potential concerns to maintain maximum productivity; report operational problems to Shift Lead.
  • Stay up-to-date on standard operating procedural changes and assist in developing new procedures.
  • Assist other departments as needed; safely operate mobile equipment to meet production targets.
  • Gather and prepare samples; analyze results using Mesh Analyzers.
  • Work with little or no supervision; perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Work any shifts, including weekends and paid holidays; work reasonable overtime as required.
  • Perform inventory measurements and reporting.
  • Maintain flexibility in work schedule for a 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift work.
  • Ensure good housekeeping for a safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.
  • Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cement or related dry materials manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of control system operation, mobile equipment operation, and mechanical and electrical principles.

Pay

$24/hour
