Job Summary
About the role
The Operator - Reprographics is responsible for operating and maintaining reprographics equipment, handling printing and copying tasks, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining reprographics equipment, including copiers, scanners, printers, and bindery equipment.
- Downloading electronic files, preparing documents for printing, and ensuring quality control.
- Scanning documents, creating digital archives, and managing online libraries.
- Ensuring the organization, accessibility, and preservation of physical and digital records.
- Identifying and resolving issues with reprographic equipment.
- Operating and maintaining system within established production goals to maximize quality and quantity of productivity.
- Assisting in receiving, storing, and shipping of jobs.
- Completing printed jobs by cutting, folding, stitching, padding, and punching.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- At least 1 to 2 years’ experience as a digital production systems operator.
- Proficiency in operating various reprographic equipment, including digital printers, scanners, and bindery equipment.
- Familiarity with document formats, file conversion, and digital archiving.
- Experience in graphic arts or related jobs.
- Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain records, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and other personnel on status of printing jobs.
- Self-reliant and able to work without direct supervision with tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail, technical skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift or pull 50 lbs.
Qualifications
Knowledge of print shop operations and use of offset and other equipment related to the industries.
Skills
