Primary Responsibilities
- Inspect and prep malt ball equipment prior to start-up.
- Operate the MBC cook, continuous candy cook, and pack the line.
- Clean blender, sizer, roper, sifting table, incline conveyor, kettles after every item ran.
- Ensure MBC cook follows procedures and mixing formulas.
- Fill out machine time, production reports; collect labor reports and material worksheets from every workstation in the malt ball line.
- Record all materials used in the production batch order by exact weight and quantity including dispositions, mix-ins, malt ball scrap, and cinnamon crumb chunk.
- Verify scrap in containers and fill out animal feed scrap report according to procedures.
- Report all raw material / ingredient scrap, corn syrup spills, broken bags of sugar, etc.
- Report blender and sifter scrap to operator according to scrap reporting procedures.
- Report any equipment, quality, formula, and/or shortage of material problems.
- Keep area clean and organized at all times and follow all job and general production duties.
- Box produced orders and preparing them for shipping.
- Perform other duties as assigned by lead/supervisor.
Physical Requirements
- Must wear proper personal protective equipment including uniform, face mask, hair net, latex gloves, bump cap, earplugs, and safety shoes.
- Will be standing on concrete, bending, stooping, twisting, and turning for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
- High school diploma, GED and/or equivalent education.
- Demonstrate cooperative behavior with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Show basic math, communication, computer, and problem solving skills.
- Show ability to convert measurements into weight.
- Show knowledge of linear measurement, percentages, and ratios.
- Show ability to communicate in English and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Show ability to work with computer systems.
- Show mechanical skills to troubleshoot and/or make adjustments as necessary to ensure a quality product.
- Show ability to work well under pressure, able to meet multiple deadlines.
- Show good attendance is a condition of employment.
