Key Responsibilities
- Operate CDL A vehicles (dump trucks, flatbeds, or concrete mixers) to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely load, secure, and unload heavy equipment and materials.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes, to move and prepare materials.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete following project specifications.
- Use hand and power tools to shovel, trowel, and finish concrete surfaces.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to understand project requirements and coordinate tasks accordingly
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in driving and maneuvering heavy trucks and equipment.
- Knowledge of concrete slip-form equipment including pavers and curb machines.
- Willingness to perform manual labor tasks alongside equipment operator duties.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices, including knowledge of OSHA regulations related to concrete work.
- Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to understand project requirements and coordinate tasks accordingly.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including day, nights, and weekends.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different project environments.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Positive attitude, reliability, and professionalism in all aspects of the job.
