Operator - Insert Department

About the role

An Operator in our Insert Department runs mail manufacturing and lettershop production equipment and has at least 2 years experience on a high speed mail inserting machine. Responsibilities

• Set-up, Operating and Maintenance of insert machines
• Operate machine(s) independently for all types of mail production jobs
• Independently operate inserter equipment to produce error-free mail (100% integrity) for high-priority or regulated client jobs, meeting strict quality and compliance standards
• Troubleshoot insert equipment and set up of basic jobs
• Maintain proper sorting according to USPS requirements
• Reconcile/recording for all output accurately using job data capture to track time with a strong quality of work
• Effectively use the quality control procedures monitoring quality of the final output
• Review schedule for jobs assigned daily; report issues back to Supervisor
• Follow all plant, department and work area safety rules and operation procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience on a high speed mail inserting machine
• Excellent attendance record and punctuality
• Knowledge of USPS regulations
• Ability to read and understand job tickets in English
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking required
• Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred

Starting at $19.00 per hour based on experience and skills.

Schedule

Nights Shift: 4pm - 4am, with expected mandatory additional hours including weekends.
