Inserter Operator

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operates mailing machinery in the routine aspects of processing finished print material.
• Must be able to trouble-shoot the equipment and provide proper adjustments to meet established hourly production standards and perform preventative maintenance at required intervals.
• Must be able to effectively use the quality control monitoring systems while processing mail pieces, along with monitoring quality of the final insertion at output.
• Sorts and prepares mail according to USPS regulations.
• Performs operator adjustments.
• Checks final inserts for proper folding, sealing, address placement through envelope window.
• Notifies Supervisor or On-Site service technician of any mechanical service required, machine malfunctions or quality issues.
• Reviews job ticket and contents to ensure conformity to written and verbal instructions.
• Responds to communications concerning any quality concerns.
• Maintains level of housekeeping that complies with company standards.
• Maintains accurate production and daily activity reports.
• Complies with work and safety rules.
