About the role
Working under general supervision in accordance with specific procedures and practices, may perform a combination of assembly, weld, x-ray, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, electronic systems, and related medical device assemblies. Performs routine assignments with detailed instructions. Follows general instructions for routine work and more detailed instructions for new or special activities. Performs assignments of moderate complexity; usually refers more complex problems to immediate supervisor, lead or more senior level personnel from within the assigned department.
Responsibilities
- Executes to training provided for good documentation practices and work instruction details.
- Possesses an enthusiastic attitude toward learning new processes.
- Completes OpEx training (Production Excellence Principles).
- Holds numerous (>5) process certifications/proficiencies or holds at least 1 certification for complex processes (example - Wire Bond, Component Attach, Electrolyte Filling, Laser Welding).
- Displays consistent quality/efficiency over a long term (>1 year).
- Displays self-motivation with regard to additional certifications and performing daily job duties.
- Consistently displays a positive, team centered attitude and provides feedback to supervisors on opportunities for potential improvements.
- Reliably executes good documentation practices and influences others to do the same.
- Sometimes performs peer training.
- Completes 5S audits on time per audit schedule.
- Suggests minimum of 3 ideas that improves Safety, Quality, Delivery, or Cost in their area.
- Minimum of 1 idea implemented that improves Safety, Quality, Delivery, or Cost performance in their area.
- Attends and shows engagement in performance meetings.
Requirements
Candidates must be enrolled or have graduated from a technical qualified vocational school.
