Job Summary

The Operator II position will be responsible for daily warehouse distribution tasks, including but not limited to the timely and efficient operations such as receiving, shipping, assembly, material handling, and all other distribution center tasks as assigned. This role will coordinate with their team and their assigned leaders to ensure the distribution center meets or exceeds all company goals, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and assembly. This role will be assigned tasks and review daily workload ensuring that all workload is complete. It is your duty to ensure you choose to work safely using all necessary information and tools to carry out your daily workload. This role should have flexibility to support any distribution warehouse operation as required and assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs daily tasks in the Warehousing Department, including picking, packing, kitting of materials, receiving, inventory control, operating a forklift, preparing product for use throughout facility.
  • Ensures all required materials are accounted for and ready for upcoming orders.
  • Works closely with your supervisor to maintain a lean and efficient workflow to meet schedules.
  • Contributes to the Team Effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensures Purple’s excellence in quality is maintained.
  • Able to pass any drug tests and certification to operate all PIT and other DC equipment.
  • Able to operate pallet stretch-wrapping machine.

Required Skills, Education, Experience

  • Understanding of quality expectations.
  • Ability to use technology-related equipment (ie. Mobile scanners, radios, tablets, computers).
  • Able to pass a drug test and certification for all PIT equipment for use in the DC.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork.

  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical Activities may occasionally include: ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools, depending on position.
  • Depending on position may include operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Environmental Conditions

  • Environmental Conditions May Occasionally Include low or high temperatures; or outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
  • Environmental Conditions May Constantly Include noisy environments & hazardous conditions.

Work Hours

This full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. This is a good faith estimate, and actual hours may vary based on business needs.
