Distribution Center - DC Operator I
About the role
The DC Operator Level I is an entry-level position within IEWC, where you'll contribute to the company's mission of operational excellence and premier customer service. You'll be part of a team responsible for receiving, handling, processing, and shipping customer materials.
Responsibilities
- Maintains DC expectations for all job functions as directed by your manager/supervisor.
- Seeks opportunities for cross-training across various DC roles.
- Fulfills IEWC’s ISO procedures.
- Makes decisions within the scope provided by your manager/supervisor or work instructions.
- Maintains work areas to IEWC’s 5S standards.
- Complies with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Assembles spools as requested.
- Follows IEWC’s attendance policy.
- Communicates effectively and professionally according to IEWC’s values.
- Builds relationships and fosters teamwork with colleagues.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience: High School graduate (or GED) and 3+ months of manufacturing or distribution-related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Applications Skills: Ability to work in a Windows environment and with standard current computer applications.
