About the role

The DC Operator Level I is an entry-level position within IEWC, where you'll contribute to the company's mission of operational excellence and premier customer service. You'll be part of a team responsible for receiving, handling, processing, and shipping customer materials.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains DC expectations for all job functions as directed by your manager/supervisor.
  • Seeks opportunities for cross-training across various DC roles.
  • Fulfills IEWC’s ISO procedures.
  • Makes decisions within the scope provided by your manager/supervisor or work instructions.
  • Maintains work areas to IEWC’s 5S standards.
  • Complies with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Assembles spools as requested.
  • Follows IEWC’s attendance policy.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally according to IEWC’s values.
  • Builds relationships and fosters teamwork with colleagues.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: High School graduate (or GED) and 3+ months of manufacturing or distribution-related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Applications Skills: Ability to work in a Windows environment and with standard current computer applications.

Exposure to outside weather conditions; exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places; exposure to fumes and airborne particles; exposure to a noise level ranging from moderate to high; occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

Use of personal protective equipment: Safety shoes, eye protection, and fall protection.
