Operator II 1st Shift
About the role
As an Operator II on the 1st shift, you will play a crucial part in Baxter’s mission to save and sustain lives. You will be responsible for reading, understanding, and following assembly processes, setting up test equipment, and performing various assembly operations.
Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and follow assembly processes.
- Assist in the setup of test equipment, leak tester, and/or tensile tester.
- Perform routine assembly operations, including soldering, using RTVS, epoxies, folding, labeling, and boxing product.
- Use measurement equipment or learn to use them.
- Communicate effectively, keep records, solve problems, and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Lift up to 40 lbs while using proper lifting techniques.
- Work in various positions: standing, sitting, and perform repetitive jobs.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Show self-motivation and minimal supervision.
- Show good judgment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize accordingly.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of successful experience in assembly/related functional area.
- Good mechanical dexterity, eyesight, ability to read, write, and use basic math; maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.
- Able to adapt to a changing work environment, including increased automation, changes in production methods or sequences, and rotation among workstations.
- Able to work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving activities.
- May be requested to work overtime, as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate between colors.
- Able to lift 40 lbs and work in various positions: standing, sitting, and performing repetitive jobs/assemblies.
