Operator I - Packaging

About the role

This position supports pharmaceutical packaging operations, ensuring efficient and compliant production processes.

Responsibilities

• Verify and prepare packaging materials and equipment for production runs.
• Set up and perform changeovers on packaging machines following work instructions and SOPs.
• Operate packaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as needed, escalating problems appropriately.
• Package raw materials into finished products within specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance for mechanical issues and ensure cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
• Understand batch record information, perform accurate documentation, and utilize basic math skills.
• Participate in technical training, adhere to cGMPs, safety regulations, and SOPs.
• Maintain good housekeeping, work collaboratively with team members, and engage in continuous improvement activities.
• Support quality and production goals by partnering with other departments to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
