Operator, Flex/LT

JOB OVERVIEW

The Flex L/T operator role is an entry-level position aimed at processing steel core conduit to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Initial duties include loading and unloading raw material, material transportation, and equipment cleanout.

General Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time
• Lift up to 45 lbs
• Follow instructions
• Interpret production orders

Primary Job Tasks

• Operate machine/work cell
• Interact with HMI screens
• Coordinate material handling and production
• Maintain material levels
• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods
• Identify and place scrap into designated areas
• Perform cross-training on equipment within the workgroup
• Rotate on a set frequency within the workgroup to maintain skill proficiency
• Contribute to quality activities using ISO Quality System documentation
• Report quality issues immediately to supervisor, department manager, or quality manager
• Work safely following all safety procedures and rules
• Review and adhere to Job Hazard Analyses and Safety Data Sheets
• Maintain work areas to 5S standards
• Perform pre-operation safety inspections and hazard analyses
• Wear required PPE
• Work in hot and cold environments, including dusty and noisy conditions
• Handle hazardous materials in accordance with company policies

Physical/Environmental Demands

• Balance, climbing, fingering, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting (up to 45 lbs), pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, standing, stooping, walking, and sitting
• Exposure to high levels of noise and dust
• Exposure to gaseous lift fumes
• Exposure to hazardous materials
