Operator, Bailer

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Use forklift to traffic material (cardboard, blue bins, etc.)
• Manually transfer cardboard from bin to bin
• Use forklift to load bailer
• Feed and operate horizontal bailer
• Tie bails with wire, unload bailer, reset to prepare for next bail
• Remove bails and load into van trailer with forklift
• Load palleted cardboard onto bail trailer when required
• Communicate before bail trailer is full for swap-out
• Fill in for other bailer in absence
• Manage wire inventory and communicate need to order
• Train incoming operators on forklift and bailer operation
• Follow any and all safety rules and regulations on forklift operation.
• Follow any and all safety rules and regulations on bailer operation.
• Assist in all recycling efforts of the Company.
• Perform other related duties as may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand/walk 8 hours each day
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Must attain certification to operate mechanical power lift device (forklift)
• Able to follow rules and regulations of safety
• Able to follow all rules and regulations in the employee handbook
