Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Use forklift to traffic material (cardboard, blue bins, etc.)
- Manually transfer cardboard from bin to bin
- Use forklift to load bailer
- Feed and operate horizontal bailer
- Tie bails with wire, unload bailer, reset to prepare for next bail
- Remove bails and load into van trailer with forklift
- Load palleted cardboard onto bail trailer when required
- Communicate before bail trailer is full for swap-out
- Fill in for other bailer in absence
- Manage wire inventory and communicate need to order
- Train incoming operators on forklift and bailer operation
- Follow any and all safety rules and regulations on forklift operation.
- Follow any and all safety rules and regulations on bailer operation.
- Assist in all recycling efforts of the Company.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand/walk 8 hours each day
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Must attain certification to operate mechanical power lift device (forklift)
- Able to follow rules and regulations of safety
- Able to follow all rules and regulations in the employee handbook
