Baler Operator

Responsibilities

• Check waste carts and loads for correct waste tag information with signatures.
• Help keep a clean work environment for safety reasons.
• Communicate with the Operator on Baler and Shredder performance, while exchanging information to the incoming Operator.
• Document any movement and perform a checklist of baler and shredder machines prior to start up.
• Communicate issues or restraints to the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Qualified to drive a lift truck.
• 2-5 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Good attendance record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and possess problem solving skills.
• Ability to work any shift including overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay

• Starting salary for position: $28.25 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: One week per calendar year for new hires. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
