Baler Operator

Responsibilities

• Loads scrap foam, skins, and/or fabric into baler.
• Continually supplies baling machine with scrap and ensures that finished bales are properly packed and contained with strapping wire.
• Keeps machine operational and clean.
• Follows procedures such as SOPS, SEPS, etc.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Mentors new employees.
• Communicates with supervisor when mon-conforming product.
• Stops production to correct quality problems.
• Awareness of environmental aspects and impacts.
• Reports any inconsistencies or nonconformances on the product and participates in the corrective/preventive actions process.

Qualifications

• High School and/or Equivalent (desirable).
• Ability to perform simple math calculations and fill out production reports.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with established company and plant policies.
• Passes the required skills test and training evaluation checklist for the baler position.
