About the role
We are seeking an Operator 3 – Bakery Production (Mixer) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery.
Responsibilities
- Execute ingredient scaling and mixing processes to meet product specifications and quality standards
- Monitor and document production data, including dough temperature, mix times, and ingredient usage
- Communicate effectively with production teams to maintain workflow efficiency and minimize downtime
- Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues, escalating when necessary
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMPs, and company safety standards at all times
- Maintain accurate records, including lot tracking, production logs, and issue documentation
- Support team operations through training, collaboration, and maintaining a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math and timekeeping skills
- Ability to make logical decisions and follow detailed instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently carry over 20 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical movements throughout the shift
- Willingness to work in varying environments (hot, cold, noisy, or confined spaces)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or bakery production environment
- Familiarity with SAP or production tracking systems
- Experience operating mixing or industrial food production equipment
- Understanding of food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Experience training or mentoring team members
