Operator 3, Bakery- APV Operator - 2nd Shift

About the Role

Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator 3, Bakery–Production to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. In this role, you will operate and adjust automated production and packaging equipment while ensuring products meet quality and food safety standards. This position is vital to maintaining production efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting a safe, high-performing manufacturing environment.

Schedule

Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Weekend Availability: Required

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust automated production and packaging equipment to ensure products meet quality specifications.
• Monitor product quality and complete required documentation to support regulatory and company standards.
• Support production line start-ups, changeovers, shutdowns, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with GMP and safety requirements.
• Rotate across production and packaging operations to support changing business needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and product issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production, food safety, and quality objectives.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication and observational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform bending, twisting, reaching, and climbing as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food manufacturing or food production environments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify basic mechanical issues.
