Material Handler / Shipping and Receiving (Operator 1) Location: Albert Lea, MN | On-site Brands: Jet, Powermatic, Wilton, Edwards, Baileigh, Axiom At JPW Industries, we don't just build products, we build careers. As our Material Handler you are the heartbeat of the production floor, moving inventory in, keeping builder bays stocked, and getting finished machines out the door accurately and on schedule. You will be handling the tools and machines behind some of the most trusted names in the trade. When you stock a bay or load a truck here, you are helping craftspeople and manufacturers across the country get the equipment they count on. What You Will Own From the receiving dock to the shipping bay, you keep material flowing and production supplied: The flow of material in and out of the plant, from unloading trucks to shipping finished machines, parts, and accessories. Accurate, traceable inventory, verifying quantities, identifying incoming products, and keeping bin and rack locations organized. A fully stocked production floor, monitoring builder bays and assembly stations so no line ever waits on parts. Quality at the door, inspecting incoming material against specifications and flagging anything that does not conform. Your First Year: What Success Looks Like You are forklift certified (training provided) and moving material safely and confidently with forklift, pallet jack, and dolly. Builder bays and assembly stations stay stocked, and production rarely stops waiting on you. Incoming shipments are received, verified, and put away accurately, with quality issues caught and reported early. You have cross-trained on shipping duties and can cover the Shipping Lead role during absences. How You'll Spend Your Time Receiving and Inventory Unload trucks, flatbeds, vans, and other material handling vehicles, and move product to fabrication or inventory storage. Examine incoming materials against mill certifications, shop drawings, and company documentation, and report anything out of spec. Verify quantities against material orders and identify products for inventory traceability. Work with the Materials/Inventory Specialist on storage and bin locations, maintain floor racking, and perform cycle counts as directed. Supplying Production Monitor and replenish the inventory of parts feeding assembly stations and builder bays. Move inventory via forklift, pallet jack, dolly, or by hand to keep the line supplied. Shipping Aid in preparing complete machines, parts, and accessories for shipment, packaging, boxing, crating, palletizing, and securing product. Prepare orders to production orders, bill of lading, and daily shipping worksheets, and coordinate closely with the Shipping Lead/Supervisor. Operate a straight truck under 26K GVW as needed. What You Will Bring: Expertise. Knowledge. Drive. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certifications: Forklift certification required (training provided). Valid license and ability to drive a straight truck under 26K GVW. Experience: Familiarity with common shipping and receiving methods, assembly, and fabrication procedures. Technical Skills: Able to read and interpret assembly drawings, prints, work instructions, material specifications, mill certifications, bill of lading, and bill of materials. Core Strengths: Strong attention to detail, understanding of inventory and material flow, quality-assurance mindset, and independent thinking. Organized, efficient, dependable, and able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. Physical: Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work on your feet reaching, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Communication: Clear, dependable communication with the Shipping Lead, Inventory Specialist, and production team. On-site and Hours: This is a fully on-site role in Minnesota.
