About the role

Hampton Lumber is a thriving family-owned company aspiring to be North America's preferred source for responsibly-sourced wood solutions. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, we operate nine sawmills in Western Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, manage timberland, and run a wholesale and import/export division. This position’s primary function is to keep the facility clean, safe, and operational.

Responsibilities

• Pick up slabs, sticks, sawdust, and chips off lower mill floors
• Assist with dust mitigation
• Maintain a safe environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Apply good housekeeping standards to your work area or any area you observe

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent preferred but not required
• Sawmill experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to safely work at a moderate to fast pace
• Lifting 20‑30 pounds on a continuous basis
• Must be willing to learn new skills
• Be a team player and self‑starter

Pay

Wage is $26.72 per hour, plus an additional $1.75 shift differential, with eligibility for overtime and production bonuses. Production bonuses are possible each month based on the plant site’s target goals.

Schedule

Part‑time position, 36 hours per week. Work schedule: Friday‑Sunday, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM, flexible as needed.
