About the Role

First Alliance Credit Union is seeking an Operations and Training Specialist to help strengthen how we work across the organization, from the processes we follow to the way we train and support our team members. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys digging into how things work, finding ways to make them better, and helping others learn. You'll work across the Credit Union to improve operational consistency, maintain policies and procedures, conduct quality control, support specialized programs, and create training that helps employees build the knowledge and confidence to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and improve operational policies, procedures, and resources
  • Facilitate engaging systems and operational training for new and existing employees
  • Create training materials, job aids, and resources that make learning easier
  • Conduct quality control reviews and help identify opportunities to improve accuracy and consistency
  • Work across departments to solve problems and improve processes
  • Oversee IRA and HSA program administration and compliance
  • Provide operational guidance and support to team members across the Credit Union
  • Serve as backup support for designated payment operations functions

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services, credit union operations, or a related operational environment
  • Experience training, teaching, facilitating, or developing others in a structured learning environment
  • Ability to explain complex information in a way that is clear, practical, and easy to understand
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with policies, procedures, quality control, compliance, or process improvement
  • Ability to adapt your training approach to different learning styles and skill levels
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • IRA and HSA experience is a plus, but not required

Qualities

  • You're curious about how things work, and how they could work better
  • You enjoy helping others learn, grow, and build confidence
  • You aren't afraid to ask questions, dig into a problem, or challenge an outdated process
  • You communicate clearly and follow through on what you start
  • You embrace feedback, change, and continuous improvement
  • You embody our values of Passion, Presence, and Persistence
  • You believe in our mission: We show up. We listen to your story. We provide possibilities.

Benefits

This role gives you the opportunity to make an impact across the entire Credit Union. You'll help turn complicated processes into clear ones, give employees the tools and training they need to succeed, and have a voice in improving how we work. If you like solving problems, teaching others, and seeing your work make a real difference, this role offers plenty of opportunity to do exactly that.

Pay
