About the role
The Operations Training Manager at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Burbank, CA, leads and directs a team of trainers to determine training objectives for employees by identifying skill and/or knowledge gaps. They are accountable for maintaining a safe working environment, developing training, and measuring the effectiveness of the training. They will work closely with and support the Quality, Manufacturing, and Human Resources departments to identify training needs and resources.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and business teams to identify goals and outcomes for learning experiences.
- Design and develop performance-focused training content for new and current operators.
- Develop learning tools, performance support mechanisms, practice activities, scenario-based learning.
- Develop training manuals and materials.
- Perform quality checks to ensure learning experience standards are met.
- Work directly with technical Operations teams, process owners and stakeholders to perform baseline on current content formats and processes.
- Identify variations and perform gap analysis to analyze/verify standard guidance needed in partnership with subject matter experts.
- Build mechanisms to manage specific process changes with stakeholder groups.
- Ensure manufacturing training programs, practices, and data are compliant with quality and audit requirements and meet the training needs of various production lines.
- Configure/maintain curriculum for various training groups.
- Update current content based on organizational needs and compliance requirements.
- Accountable for maintenance of training records.
- Lead the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) for the Lynnwood site.
- Maintain training records, assignments, user information.
- Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management.
Essential Functions
- Leading large group trainings sessions
- Designing course curriculum
- Proficiency in Storyline or another LMS add-on
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in an Organizational Development or Training capacity required.
- Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communications skills, especially in a public or classroom setting. Proficiency in computer skills and standard business application software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
- Previous experience with LMS implementation and maintenance preferred.
- Conversant in Lean manufacturing processes and principles.
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated team with members at different sites, establish and maintain relationships with internal customers at all levels. Ability to partner with others to develop and implement strategic plans related to future training. Ability to work independently and organize effectively. Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree, Technology, Business, Human Resources, or Training is preferred.

Salary Range
$140,700 - $182,700
