About the role

ODW Logistics is a people-focused and customer-driven third-party logistics (3PL) provider committed to delivering seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. The Trainer is responsible for managing day-to-week activities and developing training plans for new and existing employees. This position utilizes instructional and coaching methods to support the team, ensuring all employees work efficiently and meet company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Train new employees and retrain/cross-train current employees on all aspects of their role and processes
  • Complete training/evaluation paperwork, audit training methods and job breakdown sheets, and report status of the programs
  • Coordinate training and other initiatives with the CI Training Supervisor and Operations
  • Deliver training programs (e.g., Training Within Industry (TWI)) to employees and observe/provide feedback on progress
  • Coach and support hourly leaders (“train the trainer” sessions)
  • Understand and strive to fulfill company goals while fostering an environment of efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support company safety, quality, and productivity initiatives
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent education/work experience preferred
  • 3+ years of forklift experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred
  • Previous knowledge of process improvement procedures and best practices preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

  • Hear, read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively
  • Continuously grasp and handle objects and work around moving machinery
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, or reach
  • Spend 70–80% of time on the warehouse floor in a fast-paced environment
  • Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant objects, including depth perception

Pay

Hourly pay range for this position: $21.50–$22.50
