Responsibilities
- Train all new hires within operations, including all shifts and temperature zones.
- Train transfers and retrain associates not meeting performance standards.
- Operate as an extension of the management team, ensuring new associates successfully meet the progressive performance schedule while aligning with KeHE culture.
- Work closely with zone supervisors and the operations team to support employee training.
- Ensure new hires receive a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience following the trainer communication script and procedures.
- Foster a safety culture by engaging personnel at all levels and driving safety initiatives.
- Promote a "clean as you work" mindset to maintain facility housekeeping efficiency.
- Emphasize the importance of attendance and attitude to maintain productivity, safety, and a positive work environment.
- Train new associates using the Training Curriculum (SOP) by zone.
- Maintain and monitor completion of all training-related tasks following the performance progression schedule.
- Communicate progress, risks, or concerns to zone supervisors.
- Complete SOP checklists with employees, including the performance progression schedule, and retrain as needed to help employees achieve milestones.
- Provide input for employees' 30/60/90-day reviews.
- Cross-train employees in other areas as needed.
- Conduct additional zone training as required.
- Assist with other warehouse operations responsibilities when not conducting training duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of KeHE Train the Trainer courses and ongoing training.
- Some computer experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and in multiple temperature zones.
- May require travel to other distribution centers.
- Ability to read and write in English.
