Operations Technician IOB

About the role

Safe and efficient operations of the IOB unit by supporting and participating in all related projects. Ensure all Safety and Environmental policies are followed, maintain good housekeeping practices, and adhere to standard operating procedures. Cross-train on all operations within the area, monitor processes in the field or control room, and report unusual or unsafe conditions. Identify routine maintenance requirements and participate in activities to enhance plant safety, reliability, cost, environmental performance, and production objectives. Demonstrate behavior consistent with site standards and coach others to do the same.

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in projects related to the IOB unit
  • Ensure compliance with Safety and Environmental policies
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Cross-train on all operations within the area
  • Monitor processes in the field and/or control room to report unusual and unsafe conditions
  • Identify routine maintenance requirements
  • Participate in activities and meetings to enhance plant safety, reliability, cost, environmental performance, and production objectives
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with site standards and coach others

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in operations preferred
  • Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot
  • Mechanical aptitude (working with pipe wrenches and tools needed for plant activities and minor maintenance)
  • Experience in operating a forklift or ability to learn
  • Participation in plant safety programs
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Schedule

Twelve-hour rotating day/night shifts, with overtime as needed.
