Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations
- Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leader, analyzing data to resolve issues
- Reads and interprets drawings; drafts operations and maintenance procedures
- Follows all of our policies and applies appropriate procedures
- Covers protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
- Oversees general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
- Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and trouble-shoot natural gas measurement equipment including meters (Ultrasonic, Orifice, Rotary, etc.), gas chromatographs, over-pressure protection devices, analyzers, transmitters, odorant pumps, etc. and associated control equipment
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma/GED; a minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility
- PREFERRED: Associates or 2-year technical degree; a minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility
- PREFERRED: Minimum two (2) years of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas measurement equipment
Education
- Required: High School Diploma/GED
- PREFERRED: Associates or 2-year technical degree
- PREFERRED: Minimum two (2) years’ related experience and minimum of one (1) year experience as a technician in the oil and gas industry
- PREFERRED: Minimum six (6) months of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas measurement equipment
Physical and Environmental Work Requirements
- Must be willing to: Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements
- Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
- May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements
- Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
