Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations
  • Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leader, analyzing data to resolve issues
  • Reads and interprets drawings; drafts operations and maintenance procedures
  • Follows all of our policies and applies appropriate procedures
  • Covers protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
  • Oversees general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
  • Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Operations Technician II: High School Diploma/GED and minimum two (2) years’ related experience and minimum of one (1) year experience as a technician in the oil and gas industry
    • Operations Technician III: High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role
    • Operations Technician Sr: High School Diploma/GED; a minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility
  • Experience:
    • Operations Technician II: Associates or two-year technical degree and minimum one (1) year of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry
    • Operations Technician III: Associates or two-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry
    • Operations Technician Sr: Associates or two-year technical degree; a minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility
  • Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:
    • Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
    • Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
    • Standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and squatting, often for long periods of time
    • Working at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE
  • Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
    • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
    • May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
    • Aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
    • Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers

Qualifications

Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
