Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets drawings, supports pipeline operations, safely maintains facility equipment and analyzes data to resolve technical and operational problems.
- Supports data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems.
- Fulfills all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
- Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance.
- Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role.
- Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
- High School Diploma/GED and minimum two (2) years’ related experience and minimum of one (1) year experience as a technician in the oil and gas industry.
- High School Diploma/GED preferred with an Associates or two-year technical degree and minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associates Degree.
Physical and Environmental Work Requirements
- Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces.
- Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
- Standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and squatting, often for long periods of time.
- Working at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE.
- Using hand tools.
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements
- Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises.
- May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
- Must live within one hour of Indianola, UT - Thistle Compressor Station.
Other Requirements
- Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Thoroughly understands industry and system requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to produce results and to meet more complex goals.
