The Operations Technician is responsible for assisting in multiple departments as needed. The Operations Technician will assist with the Special Events team, providing technical support, as well as aide in the set-ups of the spaces. This position will also assist with Holiday Lights set-up, disassembly, repair, inventory records, fabrication, etc. of Holiday Lights Display materials. In addition, this position will be an assistant to the Building Maintenance team as required.
This temporary position will be for up to 40 hours a week; this is a temporary position that will require work outside in the elements regardless of weather. This position will require evening and weekend work. Working hours will shift during the Holiday Light season to include night work.
Pay $13-15 per hour based on experience and skill level. Operations Technician is a part-time, temporary position limited to the 1250-hour University of Arkansas policy. The campus is a non-smoking facility. This position requires a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Background Checks Required: Criminal Background Check, Motor Vehicle Report Check, Sex Offender Registry
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- No previous experience required, as individuals will be trained on site
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a public garden, Experience with electrical, electronic, lighting, sound, or welding
