Operations Technician

About the role

The Operations Technician is a full‑time, on‑site position based in the Greater Lexington Area. The role maintains and supports operational systems used in AI‑driven workflows, monitors equipment and tools, performs routine checks, and executes preventive‑maintenance tasks. The technician troubleshoots technical and electrical issues, documents findings, and collaborates with engineering and operations teams to ensure systems run reliably and safely.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents affecting operational systems.
• Assist with system installations or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment status, maintenance activities, and incidents.
• Communicate system status and performance clearly to team members and stakeholders.
• Monitor equipment and tools used in AI‑driven workflows.
• Perform routine checks and preventive‑maintenance tasks.
• Document technical work and findings.

Qualifications

• Effective troubleshooting ability and strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve operational issues.
• Experience with preventive‑maintenance practices to keep systems, equipment, and tools functioning reliably.
• Foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical safety for working with powered systems and components.
• Clear, professional communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and technical documentation.
• Relevant technical training or certification in operations, maintenance, or a related field; associate degree or technical diploma is a plus.
• Comfort working on‑site with hands‑on responsibilities, including equipment handling and system monitoring.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in fast‑paced settings.
• Familiarity with basic computer systems, ticketing tools, or asset‑management software is beneficial.
