Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in event set up, tear down, and changeover under moderate supervision.
- Deliver show and event service at the highest level to all clients and events, including waste collection and removal, monitoring and maintaining sanitary restrooms, and all dressing rooms.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping projects throughout the facility, such as carpet extraction, floor stripping and sealing, waste removal, window cleaning, painting, and other housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper storage of all event equipment and furniture, including audio/visual equipment and motorized equipment.
- Operate motorized equipment like floor scrubbers, snow removal equipment, lawnmowers, etc., in the performance of assigned duties.
- Assist with snow removal and other outdoor grounds maintenance projects as directed.
- Manage the HVAC system, security system, and other operations and maintenance systems within the building.
- Work closely with clients and the public, representing the facility in communicating building policies regarding set-up, move-in/out, and overall facility policies.
- Perform other event-related duties as needed, directed, or required.
Physical Demands
- Good vision, hearing, and agility are required.
- Long periods of standing, walking, lifting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching on concrete, staircases, etc., including slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Lift and move up to 75 lbs. over a period of time.
- The position involves evening, weekend, and holiday work with short turn-around deadlines.
- Mandatory overtime may be required.
- The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings, including potentially adverse conditions.
Reasoning Ability
- The position requires the ability to work from CAD drawings/blueprints, other types of working drawings, and event checklists.
