Operations Team Leader

About the role
As an Operations Team Leader, you’ll be an integral part of our branch frontline leadership team. You will oversee route drivers and deliveries to homes and businesses, improve productivity, and streamline branch activities to maximize results and achieve peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Support branch leadership on all branch operations and ensure an efficient day-to-day operation.
- Improve productivity and streamline branch activities to achieve peak performance.
- Support the team with decisions, problem-solving, conflict management, coaching, feedback, and training new hires.
- Coach and teach upselling techniques to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Ensure safety by operating vehicles responsibly, completing DOT-required documentation, and following safe work practices.
- Support daily branch closing activities, driver execution reviews, and team meetings.
- Cover routes and work flexible hours based on business needs.
- Collaborate with the Operational Leader to develop and implement strategies for improved customer service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to secure and/or maintain a CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement (Primo Brands is a certified CDL provider and can assist with obtaining this where available).
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role overseeing a team of employees is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry an average of 250+ units per day, each weighing up to 60 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must meet physical demands of the role, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, stooping, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle 40-55 times per day.
- Ability to work an average 45-hour week or more, including variable start/end times.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Must possess a clean driving record:
- In the last 3 years: only 1 license, no driving-related suspension/revocation/cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations, and no reckless driving incidents.
- In the last 3 years: no major driving offenses, including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.
- Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement).
- Strong English language skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday (Saturdays dependent on business needs).
- Start time: Between 6 am - 7 am until workload is completed.
