Operations Team Lead
About the role
The Operations Team Lead is responsible for performing quality review, training employees, keeping procedures current, organizing and managing reporting. They handle emails and phone inquiries from the field concerning processing status and other related inquiries. Additionally, they research and resolve pending cases to facilitate new business. This position updates client accounts and performs necessary maintenance based on information from representatives and/or clients, and assists with other related system cleanup projects. They also complete and document test results for new processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as an advocate for VFA Broker Dealer by utilizing excellent communication, problem-solving, research, and analytical skills to assist with complex issues regarding account statuses, balances, account transfers, and general inquiries.
- Provide professional, accurate, and prompt service to field partners and clients with a sense of urgency at all times.
- Be available to work any shift within our hours of operations (8am-5pm CST).
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in financial industry or related field.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Data analysis experience, including analyzing large volumes of data and recognizing inconsistencies or erroneous information or trends.
- Process improvement training and experience.
- Strong presentation and business writing skills, able to communicate effectively.
- Mentoring and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize competing work efforts, and manage time effectively.
- Organized, with the ability to complete multiple tasks under various deadlines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
