About the role

We are looking for a high-impact Senior Consultant, Operations Management to join our Chicago Business Unit Operations team and support the success of a growing, flagship Business Unit spanning Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kentucky, and western Ohio. This is not a traditional operations role. This is a launchpad. It is an opportunity for someone who is hungry to learn, eager to prove themselves, and determined to grow into an operations leader within CGI.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence & Governance: Support operational governance across the Business Unit to ensure alignment, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Business Planning & Strategic Programs: Actively contribute to key planning cycles including but not limited to Local Operations, Global Operations, Business Planning, and other corporate programs.
  • Project & Program Support: Support and, where appropriate, lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives from initiation through execution.
  • Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce friction in day-to-day execution.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a connector across business functions, supporting alignment and clarity across stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role:

  • 3 - 6 years of experience in operations, business management, or cross-functional project/program coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Hands-on experience supporting business planning, operational reporting, or governance activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-ready materials.
  • Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance business processes, reporting, and decision-making.

  • Local to Chicago, Illinois and willing to work on-site hybrid.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $173,500.00.
