Department: OperationsLocation: Fall River, MACompensation: $28.00 - $34.00 / hour Description About The Role: Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading defense technology company, is seeking a Industrial Security Facilities Intern to be part of our Security and Facilities team and based out of our Arlington, VA, Fall River, MA, San Diego, CA, or Mt. Laurel, NJ location. Industrial Security Facilities Interns work alongside our Facility Security Officer and Facilities Manager teams will assist in protecting our DOD facilities, personnel and systems in accordance with Government requirements issued in 32 CFR 117 directives. In addition to general facilities related requests across multiple IDT locations. Clearance & Location Requirements:All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.This is a fully on-site position based out of our Arlington, VA, Fall River, MA, San Diego, CA, or Mt. Laurel, NJ location. What You Will Do: What You Will Do: Assist with day-to-day facilities operations, including office maintenance, supplies, equipment, and workspace readinessSupport facility inspections and help identify maintenance, safety, and housekeeping issuesCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and building management on service requests and repairsMaintain accurate records of facilities-related requests, inventory, work orders, and documentationHelp organize office moves, workspace setups, events, and other facilities projects.Provide support with health, safety, security, and emergency-preparedness proceduresRespond to employee facilities requests and help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming workplaceAssists with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and preparing meeting materials for both classified and unclassified operationsProvides security support unclassified and classified operationsManages receipt and dispatch for incoming and outgoing mail packagesMaintain, track and audit inventory materials associated with contracts, and information systemsPrepare and manage security training and briefings for all employeesCoordinate new employee clearance processSupport the FSO with various compliance assessmentsManage incoming visitor procedures related to company meetings and software demonstrationsRevise and validate process and proceduresLearn and operate the inventory management system Who You Are (Required): Who You Are (Required):Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program with a major in Business Management, Engineering, Criminal Justice, International Studies or related fieldCurrent college juniors/rising seniors preferred.What Makes You Stand Out:Advanced Microsoft Office SkillsDetail orientedInitiative, creativity, reliability, teamwork, and collaborationSolid analytical abilities, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.If you see yourself reflected in this role and are excited about the impact you could make, we encourage you to apply!
