Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Club.
    • Check members in by verifying their membership.
    • Ensure all guests complete a Guest Registration Waiver and pay applicable fees.
    • Book appointments, programs, and class reservations for members and guests.
    • Provide information about Club programming and facilities.
    • Deliver exceptional service to retain guests for repeat business.
    • Represent the club professionally through appearance, communication, and follow-through.
    • Provide the membership sales team with guest/prospect lead contact information.
  • Reception Desk Oversight (if applicable)
    • Operate the cash register and process payments.
    • Manage cash handling and balance the cash drawer each shift.
    • Perform opening and/or closing duties as required.
    • Answer and transfer phone calls.
  • Café Oversight (if applicable)
    • Create and serve food and beverage items.
    • Promote daily specials and encourage upgrades to orders.
    • Operate the cash register and process payments via cash, credit card, or member account charges.
    • Perform café opening and/or closing duties.
    • Maintain a clean, safe work environment according to State and Local food safety standards.
    • Obtain State Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (if serving alcohol).
  • Pool Deck Oversight (if applicable)
    • Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Pool Area.
    • Act as a Host in designated areas or event spaces.
    • Collaborate with the F&B team to offer food and drinks, including serving, placing orders, delivering refreshments, and processing transactions.
    • Provide seating, make members/guests comfortable, and offer tours of pool deck amenities.
    • Communicate and book appointments for programs and events.
    • Provide updates on Club programming and facilities.
    • Maintain refreshment stations by refilling water, stocking supplies, and keeping areas clean.
    • Provide towels as needed and assist with towel operations.
  • Parking Garage Oversight (if applicable)
    • Warmly greet each member with a smile.
    • Check members and guests in by verifying their membership.
    • Audit cars parked in the garage when necessary.
    • Perform opening and/or closing duties as required.
  • Cleanliness
    • Maintain cleanliness and stock levels throughout the Club, focusing on the Sports Desk, Locker Rooms, Lobby, Fitness Areas, Pool Deck, and surrounding areas.
    • Perform detail cleaning and preventive maintenance, such as restocking towels, emptying and wiping trash cans, disinfecting toilets and showers, cleaning mirrors and lights, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floors.
    • Restock vanity supplies and replenish inventory and janitorial products.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Assist with laundry functions, including collecting, washing, drying, and folding towels.
  • Communication and Relationships
    • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate.
    • Actively participate in required events, programs, meetings, and trainings.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Flexibility in work schedule, including day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry or a related service position (preferred).
  • Food Safety certification (if applicable).
  • Professional, friendly manner with excellent customer service attitude and abilities.
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and willing to acquire new skills.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • CPR certified.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of company policies and regulations.
  • Strong written and oral comprehension and expression to communicate information and ideas effectively.
  • Ability to utilize club software programs and email communication tools like Microsoft Outlook.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
