About the role
Altec is seeking an Operations Supply Chain Co-op to join the team starting in early to mid‑January and continuing through summer 2027 at the Altec Roanoke Facility in Daleville, VA. Altec, with 95 years of growth, designs, manufactures, sells, and services aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment for customers in over 100 countries.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day‑to‑day project‑based responsibilities
- Involvement with engineering and production associates on cost‑savings activities
- Participation in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and Kaizen activities
- Support of production Fast Response initiatives
- Performing obsolete part reviews
- Engaging in requoting and resourcing efforts
- Managing and analyzing expected receipt reports
- Assisting in part set‑up issue resolution
- Maintaining accurate material pricing
- Procurement of components for assembly lines and expedition of parts
- Management of inventory levels and completion of projects to ensure components are on‑hand
- Any additional special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, Business Management, or a closely related field is preferred.
Pay
Pay range: $21.85 – $25 per hour.
