About the role

A high-end furniture and art gallery featuring modern furniture, antiques, rare artifacts, collectibles, and fine accessories is seeking an organized, proactive Operations Supervisor / Sales Associate for our Sorrento gallery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Director with daily operations and consignor communication.
  • Lead two Virtual Assistants, communicating daily to assign tasks, coordinate projects, review updates, and ensure timely completion.
  • Manage electronic and physical filing, scanning, office organization, contracts, and inventory documents.
  • Enter inventory data, create sales tags, tag merchandise, and track merchandise status.
  • Conduct website data entry and write and edit content.
  • Communicate with consignors regarding inventory, pricing approvals, markdowns, reclaims, and donations.
  • Engage with clients, understand their needs, recommend high-end furniture and art, and build strong relationships to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of our furniture, including designers, materials, history, and craftsmanship.
  • Schedule and track shipments and deliveries; coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, movers, and delivery services.
  • Resolve logistical issues, delays, and discrepancies promptly.
  • Process consignor payouts and vendor/shipping payments; prepare payout reports and maintain accurate financial records.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, organized, professional self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate, communicate expectations, and manage remote team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Mac/PC platforms.
  • Analytical, accurate, and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills.
  • Able to handle confidential and financial information with discretion.
  • Confident communicating with clients, consignors, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent follow-through.

Qualifications

  • Customer service: 2+ years (Required)
  • Organizational skills: 1+ year (Required)
  • Writing: 1+ year (Required)
  • Microsoft Office: 1+ year (Required)
  • Editing: 1+ year (Preferred)

Pay

$20/hour

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours/week
