About the Role
The Operations Supervisor, Outbound oversees all aspects of outbound functions within a warehouse. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach, with time spent both on the warehouse floor and in the office. You will lead daily operations related to motor carrier compliance, route planning, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, including monitoring delivery activity to evaluate motor carrier needs and customer service in accordance with client quality and production standards.
- Lead and participate in active route monitoring daily.
- Assist the Outbound Manager and General Manager with morning stand-ups and daily carrier communications.
- Process carrier settlements with the Outbound Manager and General Manager.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding of motor carriers.
- Contact client customers regarding delivery timeframes, delays, and other pertinent information.
- Assist with audits and ensure returns processes align with RLX and client-specific requirements.
- Ensure timely reporting of loadout/returns compliance and motor carrier compliance within client standards.
- Serve as a main point of contact for escalations from the client.
- Schedule orders and notify customers of their time windows for next-day delivery.
- Maintain professional working relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees, and other department managers.
- Process and monitor claims through the client portal.
- Identify and escalate process discrepancies, including motor carrier compliance concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary based on client requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Strong people and operations supervisory skills.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products (Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including conflict resolution.
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to embrace new technology.
- Operations or final mile delivery experience preferred.
