Operations Supervisor I
Position Overview
The position functions as the local liaison between Pike Engineering and the client, providing supervision and/or mentoring of design staff. It involves representing the best interest of Pike Engineering by communicating with the client, employees, and management on pertinent issues.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Energetically support the organization's vision and strategy and demonstrate initiative and personal accountability to meet work demands according to the highest standard.
- Exhibit the highest day-to-day standards and demonstrate the highest level of business ethics, consistently adhering to and promoting key values and principles in all transactions.
- Communicate with the client to ensure employees under their area of responsibility are productive and responsive to the needs of the client.
- Aid in the transition of new employees to the area through orientation, logistics, and training on Pike Engineering and/or client-specific procedures, policies, and tools.
- Meet regularly with client supervision/management to review the effectiveness of Pike Engineering's service to the client and address client concerns.
- Work closely with Pike Engineering's Manager, VP, and PE to coordinate efforts and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal codes associated with engineering services, as well as client standards.
- Communicate with Pike Engineering employees under their area of responsibility to ensure productivity, progress, and address employee concerns to management.
- Direct project workflow and regularly communicate with the Manager or VP on issues, activities, and accomplishments.
- Assure that all employees under their area of responsibility complete customer satisfaction surveys for Pike Engineering.
- Provide formal employee appraisals for assigned employees within their area of responsibility with the approval of the Manager or VP.
- Aid in the marketing of Pike Engineering's design/engineering services to existing clients or potential prospects within the assigned area, and assist in the secondary marketing of the company's services to the client.
- Maintain excellent client relationships.
- Approve all employee timesheets in their respective area, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- May be deployed on a periodic basis and have the responsibilities as the Field Manager during major storm event deployments.

Education, Licensing And Experience
- Graduate with a two-year degree in an Engineering Technology or related field.
- Minimum of five years of related communications or distribution experience.
