Transportation Services is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support Event Operations for Transportation Services.

About the role

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily and event operations and other field activities within Transportation Services. This position serves as the primary operational decision-maker during assigned shifts and is empowered to resolve customer concerns, manage staffing resources, direct field operations, coordinate parking facilities, and ensure service excellence across parking decks, visitor operations, enforcement activities, and events. The supervisor maintains responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of parking and transportation services while exercising independent judgment in operational matters.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make timely decisions with minimal management intervention. Supervisors are expected to support organizational goals by developing staff, maintaining operational continuity, enforcing policies and procedures, and fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily and event operations within Transportation Services
  • Serve as the primary operational decision-maker during assigned shifts
  • Resolve customer concerns and manage staffing resources
  • Direct field operations and coordinate parking facilities
  • Ensure service excellence across parking decks, visitor operations, enforcement activities, and events
  • Maintain safe, efficient, and professional delivery of parking and transportation services
  • Exercise independent judgment in operational matters
  • Develop staff and maintain operational continuity
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Associate Degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
  • Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule

This is a 4-day-a-week, 10-hour-day position, with primary work days of Sunday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with mandatory overtime for large events.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $44,628.00 - $64,668.00.
