Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for location and staff adherence to Alpine Bank customer service initiatives.
- Performs and/or verifies compliance with all location audits.
- Collaborates with heads of other units to develop best practices for successful banking operations.
- Practices exceptional service with customers and handles escalated customer concerns.
- Expert knowledge of Teller and New Account duties.
- Uses numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors.
- Mastered the following operational functions: wires, endorsements, basic bookkeeping, ATM settlement, vault balancing, vault cash ordering, safe deposit box entry/exit functions, and basic fraud detection and location security.
- Sets goals for location and staff that are in alignment with regional and bank-wide goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties
- Supervises the Retail Operational staff including, but not limited to: Customer Service and Personal Banking Representatives.
- Makes staffing adjustments and recommendations as necessary.
- Resolves customer and employee complaints.
- Provides quality training in the department business line.
- Hires the most qualified and talented individuals to fill open positions.
- Works with department staff on individual professional development.
- Provides input to the Branch Manager regarding annual performance reviews and professional development plans.
- Has the ability to give overrides and audit drawers.
Job Qualifications
- Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
- High quality organizational and administrative skills.
- Expert knowledge of the daily location functions and duties.
- Proficiency in interviewing and selection of applicants.
- A customer Service oriented individual.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mathematical and cash handling skills.
- Utilizes tools and training programs available to exceed customer expectations and achieves satisfactory scores on Mystery Shops.
- Current possession, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public is a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Experience
- 1-3 years of cash handling and/or customer service related experience; bank experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred, or having experience working as an Operations Specialist.
- Proven experience providing excellent customer service.
