About the role
The Operations Supervisor works closely with Boutique Management to manage non-selling functions, including shipping and receiving, after-sales support, inventory control, loss prevention, point of sale (POS) functions, and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate processing of shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory by verifying purchase orders and ticketing, and auditing validation and verification reports.
- Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area, as well as the general maintenance of the store, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed.
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee compliance of all associates with established Company policies, procedures, and standards, such as safekeeping of Company funds and property, personnel practices, security, inventory management, sales, and record-keeping procedures.
- Train, coach, and lead all associates in executing operations tasks, including POS procedures, return procedures, alteration requests, safety, and security procedures.
- Monitor the accuracy of receiving, transfers, damages, and returns-to-vendor (RTV's to Corporate) to maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
- Ensure adequate security exists and that physical facilities comply with safety codes and ordinances.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of retail stock associate experience, with an operations background.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including varying hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise and fixtures, and perform all functions as set forth above.
- Willingness to adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Availability to travel, as needed.
